Youth Leadership Forsyth (YLF) is a wonderful program that may go unnoticed in Forsyth County, but let me tell you, it’s a hidden gem! As an adult leader with YLF, I had the incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the tremendous impact this program has on our youth.
YLF is all about empowering young leaders–specifically high school juniors and seniors in Forsyth County–through engaging workshops, fun activities, and inspiring field trips. Students practice teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. YLF also incorporates the Seven Mindsets curriculum, and each class day is focused on a specific mindset such as Everything is Possible, Live to Give, and The Time is Now.
One of the highlights each year at YLF is the graduation ceremony. This year’s was a special event where we celebrated the achievements of the youth participants and leaders. Each student was recognized for their dedication and growth throughout the program.
YLF is truly a hidden gem in our community, and I am happy to support and celebrate the amazing work this program does in shaping our future leaders. Together, we can nurture and empower our youth, ensuring a brighter future for Forsyth County.
